Dream Theatre 'Live at Luna Park' will be released in November 5th

Dream Theater have nailed down a Nov. 5 street date for their upcoming concert video, ‘Live At Luna Park.’ The group decided to share the experience of performing for their large South American fan base during two special nights in Bueno Aires, Argentina last year.

The band took over the Luna Park Arena for the concert shoot, utilizing 16 cameras to ensure the best quality product to showcase the atmosphere of their incendiary live set. Guitarist John Petrucci says in a trailer for the upcoming DVD, “At the point that we hit the stage, it really becomes less about us and more about the audience, more about the people that are there.” He’s definitely on to something as the audience is very much a part of the experience with the concert collection.

The video focuses on the band’s ‘A Dramatic Tour of Events’ trek and contains the 160-minute main show bolstered with a wealth of bonus material. All of the tracks from ‘A Dramatic Turn of Events’ album are part of this collection, while longtime favorites like ‘Pull Me Under,’ ‘The Silent Man,’ ‘The Root of All Evil’ and ‘Metropolis, Pt. 1′ also made the setlist.

The Dream Theater ‘Live At Luna Park’ concert will be available through Eagle Rock Entertainment in DVD, Blu-Ray, CD and deluxe edition packages that include a book..

Dillinger Escape Plan unleashed 'When I Lost My Bet' video

Dillinger Escape Plan have pulled the top off a video for ‘When I Lost My Bet.’ Dillinger, didn’t just shoot a simple video of them jamming in an abandoned warehouse. This clip is as deranged visually as it is sonically, creating a quintessential Dillinger Escape Plan experience.

The Dillinger Escape Plan’s fifth full-length album, ‘One of Us is the Killer,’ is set to drop on May 14, right in the middle of the act’s current tour with the Faceless and Royal Thunder. The massively anticipated album will hit fans like a corkscrew stab to the gut, with twisted and violent turns penetrating deep.

Dillinger’s video for ‘When I Lost My Bet’ plays like a deranged horror-art piece, depicting bloody umbilical chord connections between one being’s stomach and another’s mouth, ‘When I Lost My Bet’ almost has a grindcore edge to it, accompanying Dillinger’s unparalleled sense of spastic hardcore.

“I can hear [the influence of old punk and hardcore records] a lot,” singer Greg Puciato tells Noisecreep about ‘One of Us is the Killer.’

“I can definitely hear that in some of the riffs, which are really aggressive. It’s not a blatant hardcore record or anything like that. I actually think this is the most all over the place and weirdest record we’ve ever written. It’s the first one since I joined the band where Ben [Weinman, guitar] has sent me songs and I’ve been like, ‘What the f— is happening? This sounds like a beehive!’”

Joe Satriani released a video for ' A Door Into Summer'

Joe Satriani has released a new music video for “A Door Into Summer,” which come from his upcoming album, Unstoppable Momentum, which will be released May 7 through Epic Records.

The album was produced by Satriani and Mike Fraser (AC/DC). It features Vinnie Colauita (Sting, Jeff Beck) on drums, Chris Chaney (Janes Addiction) on bass and on keyboards and Mike Keneally (Dethklok).

"The song celebrates the coming of summer and the promise of adventure, fun and coming of age," Satriani said. "It's a song about my high school memories lasting a lifetime and still giving me that good feeling when summer rolls around.

"I originally thought it would be perfect for Sammy [Hagar] to sing and brought an unfinished version to the Chickenfoot lll sessions. We never got around to working on it, so, I happily put it back in my pocket for another day, my little diamond in the rough.

"Recording a song close to your heart always teaches you things about yourself and gives you new musical opportunities to embrace. This song drove me to be more melodic and to play deeper 'in the pocket.'"

HIM have just released "Tears on Tape" video

HIM have just released a new music video for the song ‘Tears on Tape.’ The song is the title track from HIM’s upcoming eighth studio album, and the video for ‘Tears on Tape’ follows the path of a mysterious symbol drawn by HIM vocalist Ville Valo.

The reoccurring symbol is somewhat reminiscent of HIM’s iconic heartagram logo. Much like the heartagram, the foreign symbol featured in HIM’s ‘Tears on Tape’ video is spray painted, tattooed and tagged by various other means by those entranced by its meaning. The theme of unification is also present in the ‘Tears on Tape’ clip, as those who spread the message sing HIM’s new song simultaneously.

Ville Valo recently spoke about the process of creating HIM’s ‘Tears on Tape’ album during an interview with Artist Direct. “Creating an album is very similar to the classic notion people use to describe the ’60s — ‘If you remember them, you weren’t there.’ Your heart, mind, and body are so into the process of making an album that it goes in a flash, and it’s like a blur.”

The album's artwork, created by Daniel P. Carter, consists of a snake, circling the heartagram which is encased in a heptagram, or more specifically the Seal of Babalon. There are markings on the snake's back, a code in Malachim which when decoded says, "Tears on tape, I will follow into your heart sketching rain from afar. Tears on tape, she surrenders needle in arm while we dance into the storm." These are the chorus lyrics from the album's title track.

HIM’s eighth studio album, ‘Tears on Tape’ arrives on April 30.

PSY's "Gentleman" hits 50M views in two days!

Psy has struck YouTube gold again after his latest single Gentleman notched up 53m views in just two days.
But it's still got a long way to go to catch its predecessor Gangnam Style - which has been seen over 1.5B times.

Psy's latest effort notched up a staggering 18million hits just 24 hours after its release, and more than doubled that total after 48.

He shows off a new dance routine in the rib-tickling clip, which he's likely to be hoping will eventually become as popular as his now-legendary Gangnam Style horse riding routine.
Most of the clip shows the 35-year-old singer pulling a range of childish pranks on different people.

The song has also caused confusion over the lyrics, with some mistaking the line “I’m a mother-father gentleman” for “I’m a mother-f****** gentleman”.
It was debuted at a massive show to 50,000 in Seoul in Psy's native South Korea.

Cancer Bats 'Sonic Mind Assault video is up!

Cancer Bats, Toronto-based southern-metal influenced hardcore band have posted their video for "Sonic Mind Assault." The song appears on their 2012 album Dead Set On Living.

The band's influence steered away from the "traditional hardcore record" and took a wide variety of influences from rock bands including Fleet Foxes. Liam Cormier when asked about his influences stated: "In a lot of ways we get really inspired by non-metal bands. For me, I find I really like looking at other things because I just don't want to make a traditional hardcore record lyrically. So for me, I listen to a lot of indie rock and I've been getting super psyched on a lot of that, like the new 'Helplessness Blues' by Fleet Foxes".

The quartet announced that they would play several release shows on April 21, 2012. They have aimed to play in six different venues across London, UK in the shape of a pentagram in promotion of their fourth album.

Fall Out Boy new video will feat Courtney Love

Courtney Love announced that she'll be joining Fall Out Boy on their upcoming comeback album, Save Rock And Roll,
in a most unusual, and aggressive way.

The clip features the Britney Spears-baiting tagline, "It's Courtney Bitch" splashed across the screen. It also appears to offer a sneak preview of the collabo in the form of the drumstick rattling shout-along chorus, "Rat a tat tat, rat a tat tat."
Wentz had teased the Love guest spot on Wednesday, tweeting, "wanna guess what blonde hair singer we got on the record?"

The band's fifth album, due out on April 15, has already raised eyebrows for its first unexpected guest, rapper 2 Chainz, who stars on the video for the first single, "My songs know what you did in the dark" (Light em up). Singer Patrick Stump sparked speculation that none other than rock icon Sir Elton John would drop by for the proceedings thanks to a photo he posted last week of the pair mugging in a recording studio.

Wentz took to Twitter again, "Just watched a cut of a new video of our -- pretty insane. Can't wait to put it out." At press time it was not known which song the new video is for.

However it was not known which song is this video for. Stay tuned

Dave Grohl tell his tale in SXSW

Dave Grohl has delivered his SXSW keynote address in Austin telling the story of how he went from living with female mudwrestlers to joining Nirvana. Grohl said he was living in Los Angeles 'crashed out with a bunch of female mudwrestlers'.

“You can only imagine that it’s my life’s greatest gift that I get to call up these people who I consider heroes and have them come on stage and jam with me,” said Grohl, who earlier in the day gave the keynote address for the festival.

'That's when I heard those five words that changed my life forever. 'Have you heard of Nirvana', he said. 'Nirvana were one of us. Raised on Creedence and Flipper and Beatles and Black Flag. They seemed to share the same ideals. But they had something more. They had songs. They had Kurt. But what they didn't have was a drummer'. That was when he flew up to Seattle and history began.

Grohl said he was chosen as this year's keynote speaker because he is proof that 'the musician comes first. Am I the best drummer in the world? Certainly not. Am I the best singer/songwriter? Not even in this (expletive) room. But I have been left alone to find my voice,' he told to the crowd.

Dave grohl, Trent Reznor, and Josh Homme studio performance shows song called ‘Mantra.’

Foo Fighters‘ Dave grohl, Nine inch nails‘ Trent Reznor and Queens of the stone age‘s Josh Homme chose to let their instruments do the talking on a new song called ‘Mantra.’
Video footage of the studio performance shows the trio taking their places in Grohl’s darkly lit Studio 606 recording space. Though separated in distance, viewers can frequently see Reznor’s keyboard work, Grohl keeping the beat and Homme’s plucky bassline in unison courtesy of split screen video shots. Even the song’s board engineer gets some camera time thanks to the visual trick.
The ‘Mantra’ studio video just debuted at Rolling Stone, and the clip of the instrumental performance shows exactly the intensity and chemistry that went into the creation of the song. However, even though it’s all serious as they’re playing, Reznor lights up with a smile after the track is complete, with Grohl inviting him and Homme into the booth to listen to a playback of their recording.
The actual final recording of ‘Mantra’ comes complete with vocals. It’s one of the standout tracks on the ‘Sound City: Real to Real’ soundtrack, which is currently ahead of its release. The disc will arrive in stores on March 12.

Mariah Carey video Almost Home marks her upcoming album

Mariah Carey was on hand to premiere the David LaChapelle-directed video for "Almost Home," which combines shots of Mariah looking chic in a black couture gown with footage from the Sam Raimi-directed film. While LaChapelle is known for his colorful celebrity photographs, this clean and sophisticated collaboration with Carey is all black and white.

"I think it's going to be an incredible movie, and it's kind of amazing what they've done," she added. "It looks totally different than anything I've ever seen."
In addition to inspiring her to record the track for Disney, Dem Babies are also influencing her 2013 album.
"As everything evolved and is evolving, they've definitely been an inspiration in a really good way," she said. "So I'm excited for my lambs to hear the music and for people who love music to hear a lot of these songs. So hopefully we will be doing that very soon."

Take a look at her sneak peak video
