North Mississipi Allstars crowned Americana music luminaries
The new album World Boogie Is Coming is available now! This is the seventh studio record for the band recently crowned “Americana music luminaries” by National Public Radio. They produced it themselves at their own Zebra Ranch Studios in Coldwater, MS, aside from a day in the studio with Robert Plant (and his harmonica) at Memphis’ legendary Royal Studios.
The Dickinson Brothers did it with the help of long-time friends, Lightnin’ Malcolm, Duwayne and Garry Burnside, Kenny Brown, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Sharde Thomas, Chris Chew, Sid and Steve Selvidge, Plant and others.
World Boogie is Coming is the record that perfectly ties it all together, fusing the elements that have made the Allstars special while pushing the band’s sound further into the future than ever before. Every CD and Vinyl copy of World Boogie Is Coming will include a download card to access the full album, plus bonus songs and short films.

Chela, the next rising electropop diva
Chela, who was raised in WA before moving to Melbourne with her family nine years ago, says she always knew she would be involved in the industry.
"I think I've always had that struggling creative inside of me,'' Chela, born Chelsea Wheatley, says. "You just know you are trapped for life. You need to create; you've got no other option. I have tried to do other things, but I've always written music.
''Even if I wasn't releasing anything or I wasn't out performing, I was always writing it alone in my bedroom and letting that creative energy flow. I think I would be unhappy if I was bottling it up inside.''
Chela, who has become a favourite on Triple J with her catchy electro pop tunes Guts, Full Moon and Plastic Gun and an in-demand singer featured on dance tracks by the likes of Clubfeet, Viceroy and Goldroom, says while she had long-held dreams to be a music producer she never imagined herself as a singer.
"I wasn't sure if I would ever be the one with the microphone,'' she says. "When I was 13 I wrote in my diary, 'I really want to be a music producer and produce music for other artists when I am older'.''
Her dad encouraged his musically minded daughter, teaching her how to create music on her computer before transferring it to cassette tapes. Chela says she soon "became obsessed'' with producing music.
"I wasn't sure if I could take it as a serious career or not, but I think it is kind of looking that way, which is great.''

Rob Zombie revealed one of his films would be adapted to Broadway
Rob Zombie has enjoyed a successful career in two mediums, but could there possibly be a third someday? While speaking to the Associated Press about his movies and music, Zombie theorized that one of his films could potentially be translated for the Broadway stage.
Zombie explained, “I’ve had this idea for a while … at one point I started making a few moves to get it going. I really thought my first film ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ could work as like a Broadway musical because I feel like it has those elements of ridiculousness that could translate to the stage of somewhere between ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ on stage because it’s just the characters are that ridiculous, the scenarios are that ridiculous, it just feels like that.”
The director added that the timing may eventually be right for his vision to come to life. He adds, “As things change … I look at Broadway the way I do Las Vegas and I used to go to Las Vegas and it always said Sammy Davis Jr. on the marquee and now it says Motley Crue just like you come to Broadway and you used to always see ‘Annie Get Your Gun’ and now it says ‘Spider-Man,’ it’s like the crowds just change and I feel like soon, maybe in 10 years or 20 years, there will be a group of people that now are bringing their kids to Broadway like, ‘Oh, ‘House of 1000 Corpses’ musical. Let’s go see that.’ It sounds ridiculous, but I feel that it could happen.”
Zombie may not be that far off in his assumption as Broadway has already seen Green Day‘s ‘American Idiot’ translated for the stage and Nikki Sixx has been working on a production based off his autobiography and Sixx: A.M. album, ‘The Heroin Diaries.’

Gentleman's Dub Club prepared new single called 'Riot'
Riot is the brand new single which is released in preparation for GDC Riot tour later in the year. The music video expressing exactly what the song is all about with chaos and darkness throughout London. Riot begins with news commentary before paving the way for a spaced out beat and the laid back vocals to commence.
The drum beat has darkness written all over it with the bass working in tandem to portray the story behind the song. The beat shows similarities to the introduction of one of Pendulum’s biggest hits ‘Tarantula’ which sets the tone for the rest of the track.
If anything, Riot is more of an album teaser with the track a little bear on the music side. Nevertheless, it certainly is way off a travesty.
