Slayer North America tour dates revealed

Slayer have now revealed they will be embarking on a full, five week tour of North America. The trek launches Oct. 22 in Anchorage, Alaska (the first time Slayer has played there since 1996) with supporting bands Gojira and 4Arm.

Two years ago was the last time North American fans were treated to a Slayer headlining tour. Tickets, which are sure to be snapped up quickly, go on sale Friday (Sept. 6). For more details on tickets, visit Slayer.net.

It has been a tumultuous year for Slayer, with the tragic death of guitarist Jeff Hanneman and the departure of drummer Dave Lombardo. The current lineup includes vocalist/bassist Tom Araya, guitarist Kerry King, guitarist Gary Holt (of Exodus) and drummer Paul Bostaph.

King and Araya have been working on new material, and hope to get into the studio before the tour kicks off. The band has also been busy playing overseas festivals and shows, and still have a run of South American concerts set for September and October before the U.S. shows launch.

Avenged Sevenfold will be on European tour

Avenged Sevenfold ready to hit the stages once more. The band has scattered festival dates this summer, but they’ve just announced a full-scale 2013 European trek.

The band will be trekking through Europe with Five Finger Death Punch and Device as part of the tour package. The late-year run begins Nov. 8 in Stockholm, Sweden and runs through a Dec. 5 finale in Birmingham, England. The full itinerary can be seen below and ticket options are available here.

Avenged Sevenfold have been working on a new album which is due out later this year. Guitarist Zacky Vengeance recently told Seattle-based station KISW on the ‘BJ Shea Morning Experience,’

“We are in the studio everyday from morning to night and we are almost done … We’re finishing up and we’ve got a couple of more weeks before we head in to start mixing the album. [M.] Shadows has a handful of songs left to sing, less than that actually, and [Synyster] Gates has a few more solos to lay down. It’s been going amazing.”

Summer Slaughter 2013 tour dates finally announced!

Official dates for the 2013 Summer Slaughter tour have finally been announced! The 22-date traveling metal fest is set to kick off in San Francisco on July 19 and end just less than a month later in Denver on Aug. 16.

This year’s Summer Slaughter tour features the Dillinger Escape Plan as headliners, with Animals as Leaders, Periphery, Norma Jean, Cattle Decapitation, the Ocean, Revocation, Aeon, Rings of Saturn, Thy Art is Murder + more special guests to be announced.

“We can’t wait to get back on the road!” raves Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato. “We’re launching a US tour in the spring, hitting Europe for some festivals and club shows, and then hitting several more cities with Summer Slaughter all summer long. Babyshambles autumn tour announced

Babyshambles have announced an autumn tour spanning two months.

These are the first UK dates since the band played in November 2010. They have also announced they will play Le Zenith in Paris on 3rd October.

John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is heading to UK and Europe

Yoko ono Lennon, along with special guests, will be in Liverpool for the European launch of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus on Wednesday 8th May at the Museum of Liverpool. The event will be streamed live for a global audience.

Sigur Ros headlining Eden Session on June 30

The Eden Project has announced a full line-up of special guests for the Sigur Rós Eden Session on June 30, headed by indie-folk trio Daughter and New York country-folk singer Willy Mason.

The Eden Sessions are set to enter their twelfth year in 2013 following an acclaimed series of gigs in 2012 headlined by Blink-182, Plan B, Tim Minchin, Chase & Status, Noah and the Whale, The Vaccines, Example and Frank Turner.

London-based Daughter, otherwise known as Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella, are fresh from releasing their debut album If You Leave, whose singles Smother and Still have both been playlisted on BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and XFM.

Willy Mason is a country folk singer from the Massachusetts island of Martha's Vineyard. His most recent album, Carry On, was released in December last year (2012) and followed his 2005 debut Where the Humans Eat and 2007's If the Ocean Gets Rough.

The acts join acclaimed Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós, whose Eden show is one of just a handful they will play in the UK this summer. Sigur Rós have recently released Brennisteinn, the first single from their forthcoming album Kveikur, which is due to be released on June 17, two weeks before their Eden date.

The 2013 Eden Sessions line-up includes Eddie Izzard (June 3), Kaiser Chiefs (June 29), Sigur Rós (June 30), The xx (July 2) and Jessie J (July 13 and 14).

The 2013 All Stars Tour will feature Every Time I Die, Terror, and many more

The 2013 All Stars Tour has revealed their lineups. Coming from many different genre backgrounds, the tour will feature Every Time I Die as headliners, along with Chelsea Grin, Veil of Maya, Terror + many more.

This year’s tour will be the third annual installment of the All Stars Tour. The 2012 edition of All Stars was headlined by Suicide Silence. However, no official tour dates for the 2013 All Stars Tour have been revealed, but nearly the full lineup has been confirmed for public consumption.

“We’ve always put a lot of effort into making this band work and when we perform we do so at the highest level of intensity, so to finally be deemed an ‘All Star’ is a dream come true,” says Every Time I Die vocalist Keith Buckley.

“I plan on relaxing in a hot tub with Wade Boggs or smoking huge cigars with Ronnie Harmon talking about our visits to Hollywood. Those are just some casual things us All Stars do when we’re not giving 110%. But that’s rare. This tour has a solid line-up and we’re excited to be a part of it. See you all this summer.”
