Guns N' Roses concert turned into a movie and will be released this summer

The old most dangerous band in the world, Guns N’ Roses are about to bring one of their best live experiences to the big screen, with some pretty awesome 3D effects thrown in for good measure.

The band’s 2012 residency at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was filmed and has now been turned into a movie that will get theatrical screenings this summer. GnR has now offered the first extended trailer for the movie.

The clip opens in the desolate heat of the western desert with the voice over, “The desert — unforgiving, barren, lifeless … until now!,” leading into the reveal of the Guns N’ Roses live set.

The three-and-a-half minute trailer showcases the band’s performance chops, featuring such fan favorites as ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ ‘Live and Let Die,’ ‘November Rain,’ ‘You Could Be Mine,’ ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ and ‘Paradise City.’

While an official release date has not been revealed for the movie, the trailer ends with the tease, “Coming in 3D this summer to a theater near you.” So get ready for ‘Guns N Roses’ ‘Appetite for Democracy 3D: Live From the Hard Rock Casino Honey!"
